Flouri is built on a simple principle: your personal health information belongs to you, not us. Here's exactly how that works in practice.

The short version
Flouri stores all your data locally on your device. We do not transmit it to our servers. We do not sell it, share it, or analyse it. We don't have access to it because we never receive it. That's the whole story — but read on if you'd like the full detail.

What data we collect — app
The Flouri app collects the following information, which you provide directly when setting up and using the app:
- Your name (used for personalised greetings within the app)
- Your chosen wellness metrics and goals
- Your daily log entries and progress data
- Gratitude journal entries
- Streak and consistency history
All of this data is stored exclusively on your device. It is never transmitted to Flouri's servers. We have no access to it and hold no copies of it.
Cloud backup (optional)
Flouri offers an optional backup feature that allows you to save your data to your own iCloud account (iOS) or Google Drive account (Android). If you choose to enable this:
- Your data is sent directly from your device to your personal cloud storage account.
- Flouri is not in the data chain — we do not receive, process, or store your backup data.
- Your data in iCloud or Google Drive is subject to Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
Cloud backup is off by default. You can enable or disable it at any time in the app settings.
Analytics and tracking
Flouri does not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or behavioural tracking tools. We do not track how you use the app.
Advertising
Flouri does not display advertising at launch and does not share data with advertising networks. If advertising is introduced in a future version, it will be contextual only — served based on what you're looking at, not based on your personal data or profile.
Account creation
No account is required to use Flouri. There is no sign-up process and we do not collect your email address through the app. If you have joined our waitlist via our website, your email address is held solely for the purpose of notifying you when the app launches. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you.
Waitlist (website)
If you join the Flouri waitlist on our website, we collect your email address. We use this only to notify you when Flouri launches. We do not share it with third parties. We do not use it for any other marketing purpose without your explicit consent. You can request deletion of your email address at any time by contacting privacy@flouri.app.
Children's privacy
Flouri is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
If you are based in the UK, you have the following rights under UK GDPR:
- Right of access — to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to erasure — to request deletion of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Right to restrict processing — to ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Right to object — to object to our processing of your data.
- Right to portability — to receive your data in a portable format.
Note that because app data is stored locally on your device, you have full direct control over it at all times. You can delete it by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.
To exercise your rights regarding any data held by Flouri (e.g. your waitlist email address), contact us at privacy@flouri.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. If we make material changes, we will notify waitlist members by email.
